David M Russell

David M. Russell is a professional communicator with four decades of experience in politics, journalism, public relations and marketing.

His career covers both the public and private sectors with strong exposure to academia. He served for eleven years on the national board of the Australian Koala Foundation, eight as Vice-Chairman. His private sector PR clients have included the Government of Papua New Guinea, National Australia Bank, Telstra, Golden Circle, Golden Casket, CSR, Australian Made Campaign and Mack Trucks.

David is a former Queensland President and National Senior Vice-President of the Public Relations Institute of Australia. He has won state and national awards for his communication campaigns and holds a Master of Business (Communication).

He has held appointment as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Bond University and continues to lecture in PR and Marketing subjects at undergraduate level. He has completed a substantial portion of doctoral level studies.
